2012 Course
The course will be USATF Certified for 2012. Due to last-minute changes made by the police in 2011, the course was somewhere between 0.2 and 0.5 mi short. This will be corrected for 2012. Below is the link to the 2011 course, which we are slightly modifying for the certification.
Another note about the 2011 course. While setting up the water stops on race morning, our course manager sustained multiple fractures to his ankle (turn on the lights inside the truck, next time, JD!). Unfortunately the medical staff had to take him to the hospital. Almost as unfortunate, the truck key went with him to the ER. Highly unfortunate, the mile markers were on the truck and weren't put out. This will also be corrected for 2012. No injuries. More volunteers.

Race-Day Parking
Plenty of parking is available at the stadium. Last year, the parking company opened only two entrances, resulting in traffic backups and some cars not getting into the parking lot prior to the start time. This year we have been assured by the parking company that all gates will be open to the lot. The Annapolis Police will help make sure that this happens! We recommend arriving early, especially if you plan on picking up your bib before the race.

Electronic Timing
The Annapolis Half will use the B- or D-Tag technology which offers runners a more streamlined race experience than the traditional chip system. On race day, the B-Tag remails on your bib or the D-Tag is attached to your shoe to ensure that your time will be recorded. In addition, there are no chips that need to be returned.
Tips to receiving your time and photos:
- B-Tag remains on your bib or D-Tag is securely attached to your shoe laces
- Race bib (number) is clearly visible on the front of the torso
- Race bib is pinned in all four corners
- Race bib is not covered (jackets, runner belts, water bottles, etc.)
- We hate to state the obvious, but if discarding clothing along the course, make sure your bib isn't attached to it (especially if the B-Tag is used!!)
